ASAP About the Position We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a mobile clinical research team supporting an exciting neuro clinical trial throughout the Northeast. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys working independently, is comfortable traveling frequently, has strong pediatric and adult patient experience, and is confident performing blood draws on patients who may be difficult sticks . You will travel directly to participants' homes to conduct clinical trial visits and provide hands-on nursing care in a variety of settings. This is a highly mobile position — frequent travel is an essential part of the role. What You'll Do Travel to participants' homes throughout the Northeast for scheduled clinical trial visits Perform nursing assessments and clinical trial-related procedures Obtain blood samples, including from patients who may be difficult sticks Process and prepare specimens, including spinning down samples as required Package and ship specimens according to study requirements Provide professional, compassionate care to pediatric and adult participants Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the clinical research team Travel between different locations and be flexible with scheduling and geographic assignments Follow all study protocols, safety requirements, and clinical procedures Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Active NY RN license AND/OR a valid Compact RN license Additional Northeast single state licenses are a plus and may be required based on assignments Pediatric nursing experience is required Adult patient experience required Demonstrated experience performing difficult blood draws is required Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills Ability to work independently in participants' homes Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively Must reside within the Northeast region Clinical Research Experience Previous clinical research or clinical trial experience is strongly preferred , but we are willing to consider nurses with the right combination of clinical experience, pediatric experience, and strong procedural skills. Experience working with research participants, following study protocols, collecting specimens, or working in a mobile/field-based clinical environment is a plus. Travel Requirements Please read this section carefully before applying. This is not a traditional hospital or clinic-based nursing position. The RN will travel directly to participants' homes for clinical trial visits. Travel will primarily occur throughout the Northeast. The expected visit volume is approximately 2-4 visits per week, depending on participant needs and study activity. The nurse must be comfortable floating between locations and traveling outside of their immediate home area when needed. Because participants are located in different geographic areas, this position requires: Frequent driving Flexibility with geographic assignments Comfort traveling to rural and suburban areas Comfort traveling in winter conditions Ability to navigate unfamiliar locations Reliable transportation Ability to manage a changing schedule Willingness to travel outside your immediate local area when needed If you enjoy being on the road, working independently, and having a different workday from one visit to the next, this could be a great fit. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident, experienced RN who: Has strong pediatric nursing experience Is comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patients Is highly skilled with blood draws, including difficult sticks Has clinical research experience or an interest in clinical trials Is comfortable working independently in participants' homes Is flexible and adaptable Is dependable and organized Enjoys frequent driving and travel Can "roll with the punches" when schedules or locations change Takes pride in providing a positive experience for clinical trial participants Why Join This Team?
