Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Home Health Nurse to provide specialized care for children with complex medical needs. This role involves supporting children with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, and seizure disorders in their daily routines and transportation. The nurse will work closely with families to ensure safe, effective, and personalized care in a home and community setting. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. M-F 6pm-6am Duties Accompany children during transportation, including riding with patients on school buses to ensure safety during travel. Assist with feeding routines, including managing feeding tubes as required. Provide direct nursing care tailored to each child's specific medical needs, including managing seizures and supporting children with autism and cerebral palsy. Monitor vital signs and overall health status during daily activities and transportation. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate family members on care procedures, medication management, and emergency protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, observations, and any incidents during shifts. Adhere to all safety protocols and healthcare regulations to ensure a secure environment for the child. Skills Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) with pediatric or home health experience preferred. Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing care, including feeding tube management, seizure precautions, and developmental disabilities such as autism and cerebral palsy. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, children, and healthcare teams. Compassionate, patient-focused approach with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Ability to work 6pm-6am Reliable transportation Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations while maintaining calmness under pressure.
