Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric office immediately. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic illnesses in children, utilizing evidence-based practices Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, venipuncture, and administering injections with precision and care Educate families on health maintenance, disease prevention, nutrition, developmental milestones, and medication management Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each child's needs Participate in telehealth consultations to extend access to pediatric care beyond the clinic setting Assist with triage by evaluating urgent cases over the phone or in person to prioritize patient needs effectively Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality at all times Experience Proven experience working with children across diverse settings such as pediatric clinics, hospitals, or urgent care centers Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management Knowledge of pediatric pharmacology for safe medication prescribing aligned with CPT coding standards Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to families of all backgrounds Join us in making a difference in the lives of children by delivering compassionate, expert pediatric care.
