Certification Outpatient experience Nurse Practitioner (NP) DEA License Advanced practice provider Full Job Description Cardiology Consultants of West Broward, P.A. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to join our growing cardiology practice. This position offers a dynamic combination of office-based cardiology care and hospital rounding . The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing cardiovascular patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings and working collaboratively with our team of cardiologists. Position Responsibilities Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients in the office setting. Conduct patient evaluations, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, EKGs, and other cardiovascular testing within scope of practice and credentialing. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with applicable laws and practice protocols. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and disease management. Perform follow-up visits and assist with continuity of care for established cardiology patients. Round on and manage hospitalized cardiology patients at affiliated hospitals. Participate in inpatient cardiology consultations, daily rounding, discharge planning, and coordination of care. Collaborate with cardiologists, hospital staff, specialists, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record. Assist with transitions of care between the hospital and outpatient office. Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned. Schedule This is a full-time position with a combination of office and hospital responsibilities. Weekday office and hospital coverage Required to work two weekends per month Weekend responsibilities may include hospital rounding and patient care coverage Schedule may vary based on patient volume and practice needs Qualifications Current and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner/APRN license National certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current BLS and ACLS certification DEA registration, if applicable Prior cardiology experience strongly preferred Hospital rounding or inpatient cardiology experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in cardiology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, or cardiovascular patient management are strongly encouraged to apply.
