In this role, you will deliver comprehensive post-operative assessments, manage acute pain, and ensure patient safety with precision and compassion. Your dedication will help facilitate smooth transitions from the PAC-U to discharge, supporting optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a safe and friendly environment that values proactive nursing practices and critical thinking. Duties Monitor post-surgical patients closely, assessing vital signs, neurological status, and pain levels to detect early signs of complications. Administer medications including IV infusions, analgesics, and antibiotics. Perform wound care procedures such as dressing changes with meticulous attention to detail. Implement infection prevention practices. Provide education on post-operative care instructions, medication administration, and activity restrictions to patients and their families. Respond swiftly to situations such as acute pain episodes or changes in patient presentation. Experience Preferred nursing background with familiarity in hospital medicine, surgical recovery units, or post-anesthesia care units (PACU). Skilled in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization including Foley. Familiarity with pain management strategies for acute postoperative pain control. Demonstrated ability to perform assessments. This role is ideal for motivated nurses eager to make a difference during pivotal recovery moments.

Pay:

$40.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 24.0 per week
