Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care with compassion, safety, and excellence in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team in the Operating and Procedure rooms, as well as Pre-Op and Post-Op areas. The RNs are responsible for providing high-quality, perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced ASC setting. This role involves working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure a safe and positive experience for every patient. This role requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are specifically looking for an OR Circulating RN who can handle rapid turnover and is energetic! Duties Provide perioperative nursing care, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support. Maintain a safe, sterile environment and uphold infection control practices. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient condition and vital signs throughout procedures and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative care. Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and other nursing interventions. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards. Engage in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning from acute care settings. Skills Candidates should possess a combination of essential skills that enhance their ability to provide high-quality nursing care.

Key skills include:

Current and valid Florida RN license required. Current BLS and ACLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire). Prepare the operating room and assist with surgical procedures. Monitor patients' condition and safety during surgery. Competence in IV insertion. Maintain strict aseptic and infection control standards. Support a smooth flow of cases throughout the day. Proficiency in EMR/EHR Athenahealth (preferred). Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous OR or perioperative nursing experience preferred (ASC experience a plus).

Pay:

$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
