PM Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 2 years within the last 48 months (4 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1 travel assignment required.
• 2 years of specialty experience required.
• Need to have experience with the same type of hospital acuity; no critical access hospital-only background.

Need experience at a larger organization with high acuity, high turnover, and fast pace.

Unit Details:

• Uses Meditech.
• Patient population includes diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis, overflow post-surgical patients, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psych.
• Dialysis nurse available.
• Common medications include Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin.
• Monitored patients are on a different unit; nurses are not required to read strips.
• CPAP; BiPAP at night only.
• Charge nurses typically do not take a patient assignment unless needed.
• CNA support is generally 1:12 and CNAs may be pulled for 1:1 observation and sitters.
• LPNs and LPN-Cs are used on the floor.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Maximum time off: 3 days.

Floating Requirements:

• Floats to all acute care and cardio units to care for medical patients, or to the EC for acute care patient holds.

3 days maximum time off 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months Driver's license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
