1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PCU Float position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience, with night shift availability and flexibility to float throughout the hospital. Details Hospital float pool role covering the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown units Patient ratios up to 1:7 in Med-Surg and 1:4-6 in other float assignments Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Must float throughout the facility within scope of practice, including the Emergency Department Schedule is fixed with no schedule requests accommodated due to float pool assignment Preferred experience with Epic charting system Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Previous travel nursing experience required First-time travelers not accepted for this unit Preferred experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and Trauma Level I/II settings Experience with cardiac telemetry, respiratory care, IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, and cardiac drip management preferred Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams preferred ICU/ED experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care across multiple hospital units as part of the float pool team Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration responsibilities Perform IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and feeding tube management as needed Utilize isolation precautions and PPE per professional standards Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day) Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission No RTO requests permitted during orientation week Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler Returning travelers who were previously unable to complete an assignment must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
