Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding and impactful contract opportunity as a dedicated school nurse for a student with complex medical needs. Contribute your expertise and compassion in an environment that values individualized care and meaningful connection. This onsite role requires close attention to a specific student, ensuring safety and comfort throughout both the school day and transit. Your active RN or LPN license in Georgia, combined with a strong skillset in school nursing and working with students who have significant health challenges, will be vital in fostering a secure and supportive experience. The assignment runs from now through December 16, 2026, with a possible extension for the following semester. The schedule consists of 4 hours per week, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking a highly focused position.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active GA RN or LPN license required Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric care preferred Proficient in caring for wheelchair-bound individuals Skilled in seizure monitoring and intervention Comfortable with assistance for toileting and personal care Able and willing to ride the bus with the student to and from school Compassionate communicator for students with limited verbal skills Reliable, patient, and adaptable in sensitive situations
Role Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one attention and medical support as needed for the assigned student Monitor, identify, and respond effectively to health or seizure episodes Support all aspects of daily care, including toileting and hygiene assistance Facilitate safe transportation by accompanying the student on the bus Collaborate with school staff, faculty, and parents to ensure comprehensive care To apply, submit your blinded resume and your current interview availability.
