Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Outpatient Pulmonology in Griffin, GA Full-time, Mon-Fri with call rotation on weekends if needed.

$105,000 + Benefits Job SummaryOur private specialty group is seeking a dedicated, autonomous, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing outpatient pulmonology practice. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

Chronic Disease Management:

Diagnose, treat, and manage a diverse patient panel presenting with COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pulmonary hypertension, and sleep disorders (OSA/insomnia).

Required Qualifications Education:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Georgia (or eligible to obtain before start date).

Certification:

National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) .

Prescriptive Authority:

Valid DEA registration and Georgia controlled substance registration (or pending approval).

Certifications:

Current BLS and ACLS certification. Preferred Experience 1-2 years of experience as an NP in a pulmonology, sleep medicine, or internal medicine setting. Prior experience as an RN in a high-acuity environment (ICU, CCU, ER, or step-down respiratory units) is highly valued. Familiarity with outpatient Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Advanced MD.

Diagnostics & Interpretation:

Order and interpret specialized pulmonary diagnostics, including Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) , 6-minute walk tests, home sleep studies, and chest imaging (X-rays, CT scans).

DME Coordination:

Evaluate, prescribe, and manage Durable Medical Equipment (DME) , including continuous oxygen therapy, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive ventilation systems.

Patient Education:

Conduct detailed smoking cessation counseling, inhaler technique assessments, and coordinate enrollment into pulmonary rehabilitation programs.

Collaboration:

Practice in compliance with Georgia regulations, collaborating closely with our attending pulmonologists under an approved protocol agreement.
