An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a meaningful, hands-on role supporting students with specialized medical needs in a school setting. Youll provide direct nursing care to a small caseload of students, working onsite at a vibrant elementary school and collaborating with educators, families, and outside medical providers to promote student health and safety.

Key Qualifications:

Active RN license in Georgia Current CPR/BLS certification Previous experience in pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to support children with complex and critical health needs Skilled in G-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning (preferred) Comfort with seizure/epilepsy monitoring and management (preferred) Professional, reliable, and able to work full-time onsite during school hours

Responsibilities:

Deliver daily nursing care to students with critical and medically fragile conditions Manage and administer medications, including injections and emergency treatments Monitor for and respond to potential health emergencies (e.g., seizures) Provide G-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning as needed Maintain accurate health records in accordance with policy and privacy regulations Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance on medical needs and emergency plans Communicate with physicians and outside healthcare providers to coordinate care Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students Enjoy the opportunity to make a positive impact in a supportive school community, working standard school hours (8:10 AM 4:10 PM) on a full-time, contract appointment through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
