Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager, the WOCN independently evaluates, develops evidence-based care plans, and consults with physicians. Responsibilities include performing assessments, treatments (including hyperbaric therapy), patient education, and chamber operation, all while ensuring safety and quality standards. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, leads quality improvement initiatives, and supports evidence-based practice and research. Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years' acute care experience, RN licensure, BLS certification, and WOCN certification.
