A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Schedule Details:
12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm-7:00am Weekend rotation: 6 shifts per 6-week schedule Holiday rotation: one shift per major holiday (Thanksgiving or day after, December 24/25, December 31/January 1) No required on-call or call-back assignments
Qualifications:
Active Georgia RN license Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience BLS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR), ACLS, and PALS certifications required TNCC and national emergency nursing certification preferred but not mandatory Proficiency in drip management (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed)

Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care to a variety of patient types, including chest pain, stroke, diabetes, mental health, trauma, and medical/surgical cases Maintain RN patient ratios of 1:3-4 as appropriate Collaborate across units, with an expectation to float to SNU and ER for medical-surgical holds when needed Interpret cardiac telemetry, perform nurse-drawn phlebotomy, and utilize bedside equipment ranging from VS3 monitors to Level One Rapid Infusers Complete a comprehensive orientation: 1 day of facility introduction and 2 days of department-specific training Participate in supportive, team-oriented unit culture with experienced staff
