1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring 3+ years of experience and Epic charting proficiency. Details LDRP unit caring for laboring patients from 35 weeks gestation, postpartum, and newborn care 12-hour night shift schedule (3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Every third weekend required unless otherwise specified No call requirements Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed Patient ratio of 1:2 12-week assignment length Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required BLS and NRP certifications required
ACLS, AWHONN
Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred Epic charting system experience required Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred Skilled in vaginal delivery assistance, newborn assessment, and postpartum care including couplet care and hemorrhage management Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and infusion pump management Copies of all required certifications needed for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients including discharge teaching and car seat education Support breastfeeding and lactation, and assist with circumcision care and post-op site assessment Manage postpartum complications including hemorrhage and cesarean section recovery Maintain infant identification and security banding protocols First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit Local candidates accepted at the same rate Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of consideration No RTO can be requested during orientation week Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day) Full compliance required to start on time Prior perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before applying as a traveler
