JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INTAKE REGISTERED NURSE

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? The Intake Registered Nurse (RN) assesses and evaluates patients admitted to the hospital, takes physician orders, and completes medication reconciliation with the physician in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice. Must have good clinical skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Complete the Nursing Assessment documenting patient information, medications, medical history, vital signs, and skin assessment. Responsible for working with children, adolescents, adults, and senior populations. Must be familiar with common diagnoses in these population groups and familiar with specific assessment and interviewing skills for each population group. Call physician for admission and medication orders. Complete medication reconciliation through patient/family/pharmacy verification. Report any signs or symptoms of infection, illness, or medical instability to the physician after assessment. Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services. Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy. Responsible for walking the patient to the unit and giving report to the unit nurse. Your Experience Matters What we're looking for
Education:
Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric facility is preferred.
Licensure:
Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in re-straining procedures. Must have a working knowledge of the DSM-V, Mental Status Exam, and the Addiction and Recovery field. Compensation:
This is a full-time , non-exempt role, and the expected compensation range is between $32.00 and $40.00/hour, plus medical coverage for you and your family.
