Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Experience the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a progressive clinical environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. This contract position offers the chance to utilize your advanced clinical skills and compassionate approach to support patients transitioning from critical care.
Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Stepdown and/or PCU environments BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Familiarity with telemetry and continuous monitoring equipment Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive and continuous assessment and monitoring of patients in the Stepdown/PCU environment Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and standards of care Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly, initiating appropriate interventions Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify patient care plans Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and ongoing care Accurately document patient care, progress, and changes in electronic medical records Uphold infection control protocols and patient safety standards
