Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team preferably with a 2 year ENT experience . In this vital role, you will coordinate and facilitate surgical procedures by providing expert nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility where your expertise directly impacts patient recovery and well-being. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and managing surgical tools while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Monitor patient vital signs continuously throughout surgery, assessing physiological responses and alerting the team to any changes requiring intervention. Ensure proper documentation of all surgical activities, including patient assessments, intraoperative procedures, medication administration, and post-operative care plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization standards, including specimen collection/processing and specimen handling. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care before, during, and after surgery. Respond swiftly to emergencies such as airway management issues or acute pain management needs while demonstrating proficiency in advanced life support techniques. Skills Extensive OR experience with proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile processing procedures. Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, suturing techniques, and intraoperative protocols across various specialties including ophthalmology, trauma medicine, cardiac catheterization, or neurosurgery. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, IV infusion administration, catheter care, and specimen collection with precision. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center exposure is highly desirable. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and infection control standards aligned with NCQA standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and with patients' families. Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations such as trauma or urgent surgeries while demonstrating leadership in high-stakes environments.
