Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care to a pediatric patient with complex medical needs. The RN will assist with the child's daily living activities, monitor their health status, and administer prescribed treatments under a care plan established by the healthcare provider. The goal is to promote the child's safety, comfort, and developmental potential in the home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor vital signs and assess for changes in the child's condition. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations made. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other caregivers to ensure consistent care. Educate family members on care procedures and equipment use as needed. Provide emotional support to the child and family. Follow the individualized care plan and report changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician. Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in the child's home. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or applicable state). Pediatric or home health experience preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred). Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a care team. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client's home.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and position children as needed. Capable of prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Must be able to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
