Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in pediatric home care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care to medically fragile, wheelchair-dependent pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes. This position involves providing skilled nursing care while assisting children with their daily medical and personal care needs. Our goal is to help medically fragile children remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for at home while supporting their families. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor each child's health status. Administer medications, treatments, and other skilled nursing services as ordered by the physician and outlined in the plan of care. Monitor for changes in the child's condition and respond appropriately to medical needs. Provide care for medically fragile and wheelchair-dependent pediatric patients. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Bathing and personal hygiene Dressing and clothing Feeding and meal assistance Toileting and incontinent care Positioning and repositioning Transfers to and from wheelchairs, beds, and other equipment Mobility assistance Provide care for children who may require G-tube feedings, respiratory treatments, suctioning, oxygen, seizure precautions, or other skilled nursing interventions, depending on the individual patient. Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized plans of care. Educate and support parents and caregivers regarding the child's medical needs and prescribed care. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation. Follow infection-control procedures, medication administration protocols, and all applicable nursing standards. Promote the child's safety, comfort, dignity, and independence whenever possible. Experience & Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Pediatric nursing or pediatric home healthcare experience is highly desirable. Experience caring for medically fragile children and children with physical disabilities is preferred. Experience with wheelchair-dependent and non-ambulatory pediatric patients is a plus. Familiarity with medication administration, infection control, and skilled nursing procedures. Experience with G-tubes, respiratory care, seizure management, or other complex pediatric needs is beneficial. Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills. Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working directly with children and their families in a home setting.
