Description of Duties:
Shift Needs:
(11 am - 11 pm) The individual in this role will serve as the Registered Nurse/Charge nurse in the crisis stabilization unit. The focus of this program is to provide inpatient, crisis services that support individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse crisis. The CSU is utilized for individuals undergoing an acute crisis that presents a substantial risk of imminent harm to self or others. The goal is to stabilize the individual through nursing and behavioral supports on a time-limited basis. The role of the Registered nurse is to provide nursing care to individuals in the 24-hour CSU as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team. The Charge Nurse supervises the LPN and paraprofessionals on each shift worked. The Registered nurse is responsible for maintaining admissions and discharges, conducting therapeutic groups, and providing documentation that meets the standard of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited institution AND current RN licensure in state of Georgia. Valid, unrestricted Georgia Driver's License. Must be computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 2+ years experience in Behavioral Health field. Agency is an eligible worksite for the VA Education Benefit Program (Veterans) Agency is an eligible work site for the National Health Service Corps and the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Programs. Middle Flint Health & Wellness services the following 11 counties: Webster, Marion, Sumter, Schley, Taylor, Crisp, Dooly, Macon, Houston, Peach and Crawford.
