3002585432-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, GA is seeking a Psych RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult behavioral health patients in an acute hospital setting. This role includes comprehensive mental status assessments, suicide risk screening, medication administration, care planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic group support. Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult and/or geriatric patients in an acute care setting Complete comprehensive mental health and suicide risk assessments and ongoing reassessments Administer and monitor effectiveness/side effects of psychotropic medications per provider orders Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Lead and support therapeutic groups and patient education sessions Use de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment Communicate effectively with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and families regarding patient status Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHRParticipate in performance improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing clinical education Support Memorial Satilla Health's patient-first, teamwork-driven culture and HCA standards of care Required Skills Psychiatric nursing Mental status assessment Crisis intervention Medication administration (psychotropics) Care planning Patient and family education Suicide risk assessment Trauma-informed care De-escalation techniques Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation
