Description :
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) — a vital role dedicated to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during one of the most important moments of their lives. As a traveler in this specialized position, you will bring your expertise to diverse hospital settings, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient labor and delivery experiences. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs. Assist with labor management, including preparation for cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation procedures. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and support staff to coordinate patient care plans effectively. Educate patients on childbirth processes, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care to promote confidence and well-being. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of practice with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred. Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing within a hospital setting; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of obstetric assessments, fetal monitoring (including ICD-10 coding), neonatal resuscitation procedures, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient records management. Ability to perform clinical skills including suturing, catheterization, IV insertion, pain management administration, and specimen collection/processing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to travel between different hospital locations as needed; prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care is a plus.
Pay:
$2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per week Application Question(s): Local / Traveler both can apply. Required Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Acute care facility experience.
