1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift contract at a Level 3 trauma center in Bettendorf, IA, requiring an Iowa or compact RN license and Epic experience. Details Medical/Surgical inpatient unit within a regional health system Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule Every other weekend required No on-call requirements May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses Administers drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active Iowa RN license or compact license required; Illinois license accepted at time of offer BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Epic EMR experience required New grads accepted At least one completed travel contract preferred Cannot have been employed by the facility's health system within the last 12 months One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration Valid driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Contributes professional and clinical nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team Works at a Level 3 trauma center Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate Holiday coverage required, including 1-2 of the following: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply
