1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active IA or compact RN license and Epic experience. Details Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a regional hospital setting Days shift, 4x10 schedule, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM On call one night per week and every 5th weekend Weekend requirement limited to on-call coverage for the 5th weekend Required to float within the same discipline across local campuses Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active IA RN license required; compact license accepted IL RN license required, must apply at time of offer if not already active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA) Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required in PACU At least 1 completed travel contract preferred Epic EMR experience required One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration Valid driver's license required for consideration Not eligible if employed by the facility within the past 12 months Additional Information Serve as part of an interdisciplinary team providing pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care Facility is a Level 3 trauma center Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving) Limited time-off requests during peak holiday periods (Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's weeks) Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers considered with required prior PACU experience
