Job Description
Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:30AM Experience:
- 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
- Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
- This role will require floating to multiple units
- Local & travel allowed. Candidates living
- COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
- No current placement allowed at

Required Skills/Experience:
Epic EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.Preferred Skills/Experience:
Telemetry experience preferred.Unit Details:
Medical Care Unit - Med Surg. Medical Care Unit cares for less acute patients, often awaiting placement to a long-term care facility, with a variety of medical diagnoses. Patient population includes geriatric, adult, medical/surgical, telemetry, and psychiatric patients.Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation required. No regular call rotation; may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census and must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in.Floating Requirements:
Medical Care Unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab; nurse may have to float between the two units. Inpatient Rehab is a designated unit for intense rehab services. 14 days maximum time off 2 Charge/Lead references requiredCertifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification
