Job Description

AM Experience:
12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. 24 months of Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit experience. Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Required Credentials:
  • Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a basic dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment.
This must be passed in order to work on the Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
Unit Details:
  • Provides care to geriatric, adult, medical/surgical, and telemetry patient populations.
  • Patient ratios: Telemetry 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights; Med/Surg 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling:
  • Every other weekend rotation.
  • No regular call rotation; may occasionally be placed on call during low census and must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in.
Floating Requirements:
  • May be required to float to Fort Madison or Henry County campus.
  • Floating is required for any non-critical care inpatient units, including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients.
  • If the traveler has critical care experience, may occasionally float to CCU.
7 days maximum time off 2 references required
