1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a minimum of 12 months post-anesthesia care experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license. Details Work in a 12-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting Care for an all-adult patient population including drips and titrations management Patient ratio of 2:1 Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour afternoon shifts, flexible start times between 0900-1200 40 hours per week Weekend coverage required every other weekend, as needed On-call responsibilities as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license in Iowa or Compact/Multistate license required Minimum of 12 months of PACU/post-anesthesia care experience required 24 months of current PACU/post-anesthesia care experience required on work history/resume Current certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) Epic EMR experience required Strong experience reading and measuring telemetry required Drips and titration experience required Pediatric care experience preferred Skills checklist specific to PACU/post-anesthesia care required Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred Driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to patients across all case types Hospital-provided scrubs Holiday coverage required, working 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed First-time travelers may be considered based on skills and experience Candidates who were previously employed by the health system (FTE or PRN, including float pool) are not eligible to work as travelers in another market within the system, regardless of current facility Local radius rule of 50 miles applies, with a reduction to bill rate for candidates within this radius
