Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator Full-Time Clarion The Orthopedic Coordinator facilitates coordinated, efficient, and patient-centered care for total joint and spine orthopedic patients throughout the continuum of care. This position works closely with orthopedic surgeons, hospitalists, physical therapists, nursing staff, patients, families, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless surgical experience and excellent patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Coordinate patient care from pre-operative education and surgical scheduling through post-operative follow-up. Serve as the primary communication link between patients, families, physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and administrative teams. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, clinical meetings, and committees. Conducts patient follow up call after discharge. Respond to patient questions and concerns, provide guidance, and document communications in the EMR. Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for surgery and assist with pre-operative education classes. Serve as a resource for orthopedic patient care and assist with problem-solving Qualifications Current RN License is required. Clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics, surgery, or care coordination. Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Total joint/spine experience and knowledge of orthopedic accreditation or quality initiatives preferred.
