A pair of important assignments are available: A long-term replacement position is needed for a nurse on maternity leave from March through May. In addition, a 1:1 nursing assignment is available from February to June, focused on providing dedicated care for a non-verbal, wheelchair-bound student requiring tube feeding. Ideal candidates for this role demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations.

Desired Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN license in Iowa, in good standing. Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred. Confidence in tube feeding, mobility assistance, and working with non-verbal children. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to remain calm and nurturing in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct care, medication administration, and medical interventions as needed. Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with significant medical needs. Maintain accurate health records and communicate care plans with staff and guardians. Offer support and guidance for students, teachers, and support staff on health-related matters. Adhere to all school policies, safety protocols, and clinical guidelines.
