LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSE NEEDED
Dike-New Hartford Community School District is looking for a compassionate and skilled Long-Term Substitute School Nurse to join our team! This is a temporary assignment expected to begin approximately mid-November 2026 and last 8-12 weeks. It's a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and wants a meaningful role in a school setting.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-3:45 PM Additional hours may be needed. New Hartford Campus in the morning and Dike Campus in the afternoon As our School Nurse, you will:
  • Provide care for sick and injured students
  • Administer and monitor student medications
  • Respond to student health needs and emergencies
  • Maintain student health records
  • Communicate with families, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Support students with individual health needs
  • Help maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
Qualifications:
Current Iowa RN license CPR/AED and First Aid certification Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a school environment A genuine interest in supporting children and families Training will be provided with our current school nurse prior to the assignment to help ensure a smooth transition.
