Job Description

LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSE NEEDED

Dike-New Hartford Community School District is looking for a compassionate and skilled Long-Term Substitute School Nurse to join our team! This is a temporary assignment expected to begin approximately mid-November 2026 and last 8-12 weeks . It's a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and wants a meaningful role in a school setting.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-3:45 PM Additional hours may be needed. New Hartford Campus in the morning and Dike Campus in the afternoon As our School Nurse, you will: Provide care for sick and injured students Administer and monitor student medications Respond to student health needs and emergencies Maintain student health records Communicate with families, staff, and healthcare providers Support students with individual health needs Help maintain a safe and healthy learning environment

Qualifications:

Current Iowa RN license CPR/AED and First Aid certification Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a school environment A genuine interest in supporting children and families Training will be provided with our current school nurse prior to the assignment to help ensure a smooth transition.
