The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, resident-centered care while completing clinical assessments, care planning, documentation, and coordination with residents, families, providers, and the care team. We are especially interested in Registered Nurses who can complete initial assessments and care plans. Licensed Practical Nurses may also be considered when an RN is available to provide clinical oversight.

$33 - $40 per hour Benefits Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Schedule and Employment Type Full-Time Days (9AM - 5PM) Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to assisted living residents Complete initial and ongoing nursing assessments Develop, update, and monitor resident care plans Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly Coordinate with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Support admissions, care transitions, and changes in resident status Participate in care conferences and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team Provide direction and support to nursing and care staff as appropriate Promote resident safety, dignity, rights, and quality of life Follow infection prevention, medication management, and other applicable healthcare regulations Respond appropriately to resident emergencies and changes in condition Maintain confidentiality and protect resident information Support compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations Qualifications Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates may be considered when an RN is available to provide clinical oversight Previous assisted living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living experience preferred Ability to complete initial assessments and develop resident care plans preferred Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Knowledge of medication administration, documentation, infection prevention, and resident safety Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care If you are an experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who is passionate about providing quality care in an assisted living setting, we invite you to apply for the Assisted Living Registered Nurse position at Promise House.
