A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Our Children's Unit provides compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients while working closely with families and the multidisciplinary care team. Our Maternal Child division includes seven Labor and Delivery beds, a four-bed triage area, a 16-bed Mother/Baby Unit, a Children's Unit, and a Level II Neonatal Special Care Unit (NSCU) with private and open-bay rooms. The department supports approximately 1,000 deliveries annually and includes dedicated obstetric OR suites, a 24/7 UPH OB Hospitalist program, and CRNA coverage. Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, clinical expertise, and evidence-based practice. Monitor patient conditions, apply critical thinking skills, and make independent clinical judgments to support positive patient outcomes. Accurately and promptly document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Qualifications Education:
Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
