Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN/LPN to join our healthcare team on a weekend package schedule. This role offers an excellent opportunity for licensed nurses to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various nursing disciplines, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized treatments, ensuring comprehensive support for our patients' health and well-being. This position emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and adherence to safety standards in a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems Administer medications and injections Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization, dialysis management, and tube feeding while maintaining aseptic technique. Monitor patients in various settings including medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency room, and outpatient clinics; provide critical care when necessary. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing and interpret results to inform patient care plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies and case management plans tailored to individual needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities. Support patients with behavioral health needs, memory care, or those with developmental disabilities by delivering compassionate and personalized attention. Qualifications Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with current state certification requirements.. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and order entry. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is advantageous. Ability to perform advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and airway management. Excellent communication skills coupled with critical thinking abilities to assess patient needs accurately and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
