Overview RN or LPN - Mental Health Unit Allen Hospital, Waterloo, IA Full-time Weekend Pkg, 7pm-7am $10K Sign-on Bonus The MHU is a 21-bed adult inpatient unit accepting a wide range of diagnoses from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and behavioral disturbances. All of our rooms are private and monitored 24/7 by camera. We follow a multidisciplinary team approach for each patient.
The care team includes:
psychiatrist, ARNP, RN, social work/mental health counselors, discharge navigator, occupational therapy services, patient care techs and safety techs. Why UnityPoint Health? Responsibilities To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse or LPN skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance. To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital. To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise Qualifications Current RN or LPN license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing. Graduate of an accredited nursing program Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients. Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth. Able to meet the physical demands on file in the Human Resources Department.
