In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department, performing triage, assessments, and critical interventions for a diverse patient population. You will collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, utilize advanced medical technologies, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients on night shift, following evidence-based protocols and hospital policies Triage, assess, and prioritize patient needs, recognizing and responding rapidly to changes in condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately, documenting all care in the EMRCollaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions, promoting understanding and safety Maintain a safe, clean, and organized emergency department environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards Participate in continuing education, skills training, and quality improvement initiatives to support professional growth Support a patient-first, compassionate culture through effective communication, empathy, and teamwork Required Skills Emergency nursing Patient triage IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring Wound care and stabilization Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Acute and critical care assessment Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols Interdisciplinary teamwork and communication
