Job Description

Perioperative RN (Circulator / Pre-Op / Recovery), Part-Time | Gray Facial Plastic Surgery Gray Facial Plastic Surgery Eagle, ID Job Details Part-time $38 - $42 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training 401(k) Happy hour Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Professional development assistance Retirement plan Qualifications RN License BLS Certification OR experience ACLS Certification Monitoring and managing IVs Working with individuals in post-surgery recovery Perioperative care Surgical nursing expertise Full Job Description Anticipated start date: Mid-January 2027 Perioperative RN (Circulator / Pre-Op / Recovery), Part-Time | Gray Facial Plastic Surgery | Eagle, ID Two days a week. No call. No nights. No weekends. Gray Facial Plastic Surgery is a private, boutique facial plastic surgery practice in Eagle, now in its second year and busy. We're adding a part-time RN to round out our surgical team in our office-based surgery suite. This role suits an easy-to-work-with OR, PACU, or pre-op nurse who wants to step back from hospital work, move to part-time, or add a second part-time position that actually fits around the first one. It's also a good fit if you're tired of larger ASCs where every surgeon has different preferences (and odd personalities...), every case runs on a different system, and there's never enough time to get to know the patient. Here you learn one surgeon's way of doing things, and you spend your day taking care of surgery patients, not keeping up with the machinery around them. Simple EMR, simple set of orders, small team. This is a chance to get back to what drew you to nursing in the first place: direct patient care. Our practice is entirely outpatient and primarily cosmetic, so there are minimal insurance battles slowing your day down. Less red tape, less paperwork, and none of the stale corporate feel. Just a small team, a well-run OR, and patients who are glad to be here and universally healthy. The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with operating room experience who is comfortable assisting the surgeon during in all aspects surrounding procedures and providing post-operative care in the recovery area. What makes this different You work with one surgeon, Dr. Alan Gray, who also owns the practice. One set of preferences, one way of doing things. Office-based surgery suite, not a full ASC. Less admin, less bureaucracy, fewer moving parts. Predictable days. Emergency or add-on cases are rare (one or two a year). Small team of five, growing deliberately. High-end, patient-focused environment where you have time to do the job well. About the surgeon Dr. Gray is one of three fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeons in Idaho and has local roots. He completed a high-volume deep plane facelift and rhinoplasty fellowship in 2025.
Case mix Primarily facial rejuvenation:
facelift, necklift, browlift, and upper and lower eyelid surgery. Rhinoplasty is a strong second focus. Laser procedures and skin cancer (Mohs) reconstruction make up the rest. Every patient is screened carefully before surgery. If someone isn't healthy enough for office-based surgery, they don't have it here and go to an external ASC or hospital instead. That means a predictable, low-acuity recovery room. Your role in the room A certified surgical technologist or MA sets up and scrubs each case. Your primary focus is perioperative nursing: pre-op, circulating, and recovery. On occasion you'll step in to scrub or assist the surgeon directly as we have other RN circulators as well, and we'll train you for that. Cases start around 830am. Expected arrival time 30 mins prior to patient arrival. Surgery day end times range from 2pm to 4pm at the very latest. Responsibilities Pre-op Checking patients in at reception Standardized pre-op patient photos (face only, no body) Patient assessment and pre-op checklist IV starts Finalize and witness surgical consents alongside surgeon Assist with pregnancy testing In the OR Circulate surgical cases Help with foley placement would be expected, training can be provided Troubleshoot IV lines and access issues during cases alongside CRNA Support the CRNA with supplies and room needs as requested Assist the surgeon during procedures as needed (training provided), including scrubbing in Recovery Transport and recover patients under the supervision of the CRNA and surgeon Review discharge instructions with the patient and their caregiver Complete accurate and timely patient charting during case and after Helping with scrub team maintain accurate counts of surgical consumables Supporting the team Help the CST and/or CMA with instrument management when needed, including autoclave sterilization Keep the operating room clean and ready Assist team with surgical supply inventory, place orders, and keep materials stocked Potential to help in clinic when the OR schedule allows, if desired by employee Other clinical duties as needed or based on employee motivation and skillset Schedule (alternating OR weeks)
Week A:

Tuesday and Wednesday Typical shift hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, often earlier day depending on case load Room to grow: Currently Fridays are flex half days for all team. During busy seasons we add half-day Friday cases, and occasionally a full OR day. Extra hours are offered, never required. Requirements Active Idaho RN license At least one year of ASC, hospital, or office-based surgery experience, including pre-op and recovery Confident with IV starts and troubleshooting lines on the fly; this is a must Current BLS Active ACLS, or certification completed before your formal start date; class to be provided if hired Comfort working independently in a small, cohesive team that covers all bases, including small tasks that are under your license, but willingness to help is key Plastic surgery or ENT experience a plus Decent taste in OR music with ability to DJ, and a little tolerance for the surgeon's choice Compensation and perks $38-$42 per hour, depending on experience Two weeks of paid training to learn our team, systems, and workflow Company 401(k), available to part-time employees once plan eligibility hours are met Scrubs and OR shoes provided Aesthetic treatments, injectables, and skincare at practice cost Paid team lunches at least 2 days a week Annual company retreat, holiday dinner, routine team happy hours Hiring timeline We'll collect resumes and references for at least one month before scheduling formal interviews.
