This position involves direct interaction with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing nursing duties. The Floor Nurse is responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other nurses to ensure coordinated care delivery. Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and comfort throughout the nursing process. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assess patient needs accurately. Proficient in medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare environment. Experience with medical documentation practices to maintain accurate patient records. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection. Ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Familiarity with medical records management systems is preferred but not required. This role is essential for maintaining a high standard of care within our facility, ensuring that all patients receive the attention they need for optimal recovery and health outcomes.
