A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Job Description
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of one year of experience on a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) floor Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems BLS certification required; additional certifications preferredResponsibilities:
Monitor, assess, and record patients' conditions and responses to treatment Administer medications, start IVs, and perform wound care within Med Surg protocols Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and allied healthcare professionals Educate patients and family members on post-discharge care and recovery Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients and their loved ones Maintain patient records and comply with privacy regulations and hospital policies Respond promptly to patient inquiries and changes in condition Participate in continuous education and professional development activities This role offers an opportunity to expand your clinical experience and develop new skills while making a significant impact in a supportive setting.
