Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing physical examinations. Assist with complex procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic technique. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices and hospital protocols. Utilize electronic health record systems for accurate documentation of medical records, medication administration, and clinical notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care services. Manage acute pain and provide comfort measures for patients experiencing critical or chronic conditions. Engage in infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, and health coaching to promote understanding and compliance. Requirements Valid RN license and BLS certification Proven experience working with demonstrated proficiency in medical-surgical nursing.
