Job Description

SSM Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will deliver safe, evidence-based patient care, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor and document patient status using EMR systems. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans, educate patients and families, and uphold infection control and safety standards. Responsibilities Provide patient-centered nursing care in accordance with SSM Health standards and care plans Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatment Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions Utilize EMR systems for accurate, timely clinical documentation Maintain infection control and safety standards in all clinical activities Support a compassionate, faith-informed environment that respects all individuals Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit initiatives Mentor and support new staff and nursing students as needed Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration IV therapy and phlebotomy Wound care and dressing changes Care planning and coordination Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Infection prevention and control Patient and family education Basic life support and emergency response
