Job Description

Description Position Summary Responsible for installing, repairing and monitoring industrial processing and production machinery, following safety compliance and quality standards. Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery 2. Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment 3. Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics 4. Source replacement parts and perform repairs 5. Work with maintenance manager to continually update the production process and system software 6. Attend daily meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime 7. Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools 8. Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications 9. Maintain parts and tools inventory 10. Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Requirements Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required. 1. Minimum of three (3) years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required 2. Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics 3. Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment 4. Competence in computers 5. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred 6. Must be a team player and willing to work with minimal supervision 7. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills 8. High school diploma or GED 9. Advanced technical or college training preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, carry, push or pull items frequently 2. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently 3. Sit, stand and walk for 1-10 hours per day 4. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing and vision protection
