Current Illinois RN license required BLS certification required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Minimum 2 years of RN experience Behavioral Health experience preferred CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) is
REQUIRED BSN
preferred or equivalent years of experience Meditech and basic computer skills preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Provide and coordinate nursing care for behavioral health clients age 18 and older Assess clients, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies Monitor clients and document appropriately according to risk precaution levels Maintain a safe environment and monitor continuously for harmful contraband Provide emergency care as needed Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and group therapy activities as assigned Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals Direct and support other personnel involved in client care Apply critical thinking and nursing judgment to identify and resolve patient-care concerns Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and patient-rights policies Participate in staff training, meetings, process improvement, and professional development
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 4-6 hours Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when assisting clients Requires bending, stooping, walking, grasping, and reaching Ability to maintain focused attention in a behavioral health environment
