1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift Psychiatric position requiring CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification with Advanced Physical Skills. Details Behavioral Health Services unit caring for adult and geriatric psychiatric clients 18 years and older 13-week contract Night shift 1830-0700, including every other weekend Holiday coverage required Uses Meditech EMR Requirements Active IL RN license required BLS certification required CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) certification required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred or equivalent years of experience Minimum 2 years of experience required Ability to stand 4-6 hours and lift up to 25 lbs when assisting clients Additional Information Manages and coordinates nursing care activities for clients during hospitalization including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Directs and oversees other personnel involved in client care Prepares, administers, and records medications per policy Monitors clients and documents according to risk precaution level Maintains a safe environment, monitoring for harmful contraband Conducts group therapies and participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team Participates in orientation, in-service training, and departmental meetings
