A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

RCAP is seeking an energetic self-motivated individual to provide services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in small group home residential setting. The job is flexible and the ability to make your own schedule. Health benefits, earned time, holiday pay and raise opportunities available. Job duties include but not limited to providing instructions for DSP staff, completing annual assessments on individuals in the home, DHS Rule 116 compliance and availability for audits and other inquiries, maintaining individual records, maintaining staff records, teaching medication administration, communication with medical professionals, monthly medication check-in, and rotating on-call schedule. Job requirements include valid IL driver's license, valid IL RN license, one year of RN experience, and pass a criminal background check. CPR training provided.
