• Multi-Site Position Full-Time | Nursing Leadership Chicago Treatment and Counseling Centers (CTCC) is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and dependable Nursing Director to provide nursing leadership and oversight for our four outpatient Opioid Maintenance Treatment/Opioid Treatment Program (OMT/OTP) locations.

This is a multi-site leadership position requiring regular travel between all four CTCC clinic locations . The Nursing Director will oversee nursing and phlebotomy operations and work collaboratively with the Clinical Director, Medical Director, physicians, nursing staff, counselors, and administrative leadership to ensure safe, effective, compliant, and client-centered treatment. The ideal candidate will have significant nursing experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, methadone/OTP services, or another highly regulated healthcare environment , along with demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities The Nursing Director will provide agency-wide oversight of nursing services, including: Provide direct leadership, supervision, support, and accountability for nursing and phlebotomy staff across all four CTCC clinics . Travel regularly among CTCC locations to provide on-site nursing oversight, conduct audits, address staffing needs, and ensure consistency of nursing operations. Work closely and collaboratively with the Clinical Director and Medical Director regarding nursing operations, client safety, medication-related concerns, regulatory compliance, staffing, and quality improvement. Develop and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and safe medication-dispensing operations at each clinic. Monitor nursing attendance, punctuality, scheduling, call-offs, and adherence to agency policies. Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation, and ongoing development of nursing personnel. Provide orientation and competency-based training for newly hired nurses and ongoing education for current nursing staff. Maintain and update nursing procedures, training materials, competency requirements, and nursing reference resources. Ensure nursing personnel maintain required licenses, credentials, continuing education, and mandatory training. Oversee safe and accurate methadone and other medication dispensing in accordance with physician orders, agency policy, and applicable regulations. Review and audit methadone accounting and medication accountability records from all program locations on a routine basis. Conduct periodic/random audits of physical medication inventory and reconcile discrepancies promptly. Audit nursing documentation and relevant medical/physician documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Ensure dose changes, medication orders, take-home/code changes, inventory, wastage, and other medication-related activities are properly documented. Monitor nursing supplies and medication inventory to ensure each clinic has adequate supplies to maintain uninterrupted operations. Assist with preparation for and response to regulatory inspections, medication audits, corrective-action plans, and quality-improvement initiatives. Participate in nursing, clinical leadership, medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary meetings as required. Promote effective communication between nursing, medical, clinical, and administrative departments. Address nursing performance or operational concerns promptly and communicate significant issues to appropriate leadership. Perform other duties consistent with the Nursing Director role and organizational needs. Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities The Nursing Director must maintain a strong working knowledge of the regulatory requirements applicable to opioid treatment and controlled-substance medication management and ensure that nursing practices remain consistent with applicable federal and Illinois requirements, professional nursing standards, CTCC policies, and accreditation requirements . The Nursing Director will play an active role in maintaining CTCC's readiness for regulatory reviews and ensuring that medication accountability, documentation, nursing competencies, and clinical practices meet organizational standards. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license . Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience . Nursing supervisory, management, charge-nurse, or leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience in substance use disorder treatment, opioid treatment programs, methadone maintenance, behavioral health, addiction medicine, or a related healthcare environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration, controlled-substance accountability, clinical documentation, and nursing standards. Strong leadership and staff-management abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to appropriately address employee performance and accountability issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Ability to work effectively with individuals receiving treatment for opioid and other substance use disorders. Ability and willingness to travel regularly between all four CTCC clinic locations . Reliable transportation is required for this multi-site leadership position. Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, behavioral health, or a related discipline is preferred but may not be required depending upon relevant nursing leadership and OTP experience. Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate competency in assessing and responding to: Medical and physical needs: Understanding how an individual's medical status may affect substance use disorder treatment and medication administration.

Substance use disorders:

Understanding opioid dependence, substance use disorders, treatment approaches, medication-assisted treatment, and available treatment resources.

Clinical leadership:

Ability to supervise nursing professionals while collaborating effectively with medical, clinical, and administrative leadership.

Medication accountability:

Strong attention to medication inventory, methadone accountability, documentation, dose orders, and controlled-substance procedures.

Organizational leadership:

Ability to coordinate nursing operations across multiple locations while maintaining consistent standards of care. What We Are Looking For CTCC is looking for a Nursing Director who is visible, hands-on, organized, clinically knowledgeable, and accountable . This individual should be comfortable moving between locations rather than managing exclusively from one office. The Nursing Director must be able to identify problems early, communicate concerns appropriately, support and train nursing staff, maintain adequate staffing, and work as part of a leadership team. Success in this position requires a strong working partnership with both the Clinical Director and Medical Director , with nursing, clinical, and medical leadership functioning collaboratively to promote client safety, regulatory compliance, staff accountability, and quality of care.
