Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take on a vital role supporting student health across two vibrant Chicago campuses as an on-site Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity allows you to directly impact over 1,000 students—approximately 500 at each location—by providing high-quality nursing care in a dynamic school setting. Key Qualifications:
Active RN license required Demonstrated, recent experience in a school nursing environment (this is a must) Strong communication and organizational skills for multi-campus coordination Ability to provide care independently and manage varying student health needs Comfort traveling between two Chicago campuses on a weekly basis
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the onsite RN for two schools, ensuring continuity of care during school hours Deliver direct nursing services: medication administration, health assessments, first aid, and emergency response Collaborate with school administrators, faculty, and parents to support student well-being Maintain detailed health records and comply with state and district health policies Educate staff and students about health promotion and disease prevention This position features a schedule of 37.5 hours per week with consistent daytime hours. You'll be the cornerstone of care for both school communities, interacting with students and staff daily and ensuring that health needs are met promptly and efficiently.
