This exciting contract opportunity places you front and center in delivering high-quality care and health education to approximately 500 students in a dynamic school environment. Your ability to manage daily clinic responsibilities, respond to health emergencies, and collaborate with educators will create a supportive atmosphere that fosters learning and growth from kindergarten through eighth grade. This full-time position offers a robust 37.5-hour workweek, providing stability and consistency in your daily routine.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current RN license Demonstrated experience in a school setting (required) Full understanding of childhood health concerns and school nurse protocols Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to interact effectively with children, faculty, and families Experience with direct care, health screenings, medication administration, and care planning
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing services to K-8 students and staff Assess, triage, and manage both urgent and routine student health needs Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions Maintain accurate health records and documentation Educate students and faculty on health, wellness, and preventative care Act as a liaison between school, families, and healthcare providers Support a healthy school environment by leading health promotion initiatives Enjoy the flexibility and professional fulfillment of a contract role while soaking in the rewards of daily student interaction.
