Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wounds nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will oversee the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent nursing care to patients suffering from wounds. Assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries. Obtain cultures to assess wounds and injuries. Evaluate wounds and injuries for infections or other illness factors that cause wounds. Initiate nursing care procedures in managing acute and traumatic wounds. Coordinate with rehab, traumatic and nutritional nurses in nursing patients with wounds. Ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures. Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues. Demonstrate wound care procedures to other care givers. Sanitize and maintain the premises of wound care neat, clean and hygienic. Complete weekly rounds with wound doctor. Work with the dietician to oversee the weight program. Maintain accurate medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Work with nursing management team to complete MDS duties. Completion of comprehensive assessments, MDS assessments and care plan development Develop, implement, and regularly review the residents' Plan of Care, ensuring it meets the needs and preferences of the residents. Serve as liaison for family members, ensuring they are kept informed and involved in the care process. Qualifications
  • RN or LPN with wound experience preferred
  • Active Illinois license
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse audiences effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

$36.00 - $41.00 per hour
