South Chicagoland Shift & Schedule Day Shift 12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Night Shift 12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Schedule Requirements No Call Every Other Weekend (EOW) Block scheduling is not accommodated Travelers are first to float Facility Information Hazel Crest, IL Approximately 30 minutes from Chicago 231 Beds Teaching Hospital No Trauma Designation AAH requires COVID vaccination Unit Information 44

Accepted Patient Population Medical-Surgical Telemetry Observation Post-cardiac cath (radial & femoral) Appendectomies Colectomies CHF Pneumonia Sepsis Abdominal pain COVID Required Skills Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips Cardiac drips (non-titrating) Medical-Surgical/Tele skills Wound care IV starts
Patient Ratios RN:
1:5-6 on days/nights; may vary based on acuity
CNA:
1:10-12 on days/nights Required Certifications
BLS ACLS NIHSS
Unit Support Charge Nurse:
Rarely Phlebotomy available IV/VAT Team for hard sticks, PICCs, midlines, etc. Resource Nurse available at night and floats between units Centralized telemetry monitoring with Tele Tech RT in-house Hospitalist in-house
OT/PT/ST
available during the week Charting & Equipment EPIC Pyxis Alaris Floating May float to other MSU/Telemetry floors Traveler is first to float Orientation Starts on a Monday Initial time with educator for access, modules, etc. At least one 12-hour unit shift included Time Off & Holidays RTO can be approved for up to 1 week
